Archive & Myth Shakes Up Cocktails Behind A Password-Protected Door Under Leicester Square

Archive & Myth Leicester Square West End London cocktail bar

Hidden under The Hippodrome Casino in London’s Leicester Square, Archive & Myth shakes up innovative cocktails behind a password protected entrance

London’s Leicester Square is getting a new cocktail bar, Archive & Myth. Located under The Hippodrome Casino in the heart of the West End, the secret escape offers an oasis for those looking to hide from the crowds above.

Created by The Hippodrome Casino and the design team behind Channing Tatum’s Magic Mike Live, Archive & Myth shakes things up behind a password-protected door off Cranbourn Street. Award-winning mixologist Jack Sotti created the cocktail menu, which is overseen by Head Bartender Laurie Howells.  Combining modern techniques, conscientious flavours and meticulously sourced ingredients, drinks are available in both full-size and miniature vessels.

Cocktail Menu:

Inside the venue, guests are invited into a secret world of private indulgence with an atmosphere of inconspicuous excitement and intrigue. Rich interiors by film, television, and theatrical production designer Rachel O’Toole envelop a central bar. Intimate seating nooks upholstered in plush fabric with brushed metal detailing bring a contemporary flare to the Fin de Siècle architecture. The exposed brick and dark woodwork accents complement an eclectic collection of lore-inspired relics, including a one-of-a-kind gramophone through which guests can create the soundtrack for their evening from recordings of iconic Hippodrome headliner performances throughout its 124-year history.

The cocktail programme is complemented by a menu of select offerings from The Hippodrome’s contemporary Chinese restaurant, Chop Chop by Four Seasons. Old Hong Kong-inspired bites include an offering of Dim Sum, Spring Rolls, Salt & Pepper Prawns, and more.

The Archive & Myth entrance can be discovered on Cranbourn Street off London’s Leicester Square. Instructions for access are revealed upon booking confirmation. To make a reservation, head over to the bar’s official website.

Archive & Myth will open on Thursday 13th June. It will be open for business Wed-Sun, 18:00 – 2:00.
