Cameron Diaz’s Avaline Unveils Pinot Noir, Their First California Wine

Avaline Pinot Noir

Cameron Diaz and Katherine Power’s wine brand Avaline has released a limited edition Pinot Noir, their first wine produced in California. The new red wine joins Avaline’s Red Blend in the brand’s portfolio of six clean offerings. All Avaline wines are made with organic grapes, vegan-friendly, contain under 1g of sugar and are free of unwanted extras like colors and concentrates.

Avaline Pinot Noir is produced by Porter Creek Vineyards, a CCOF certified vineyard and biodynamic Demeter certified, family-run winery nestled in the Russian River Valley of Sonoma County. Porter Creek shares many of Avaline’s values, like organic farming, low intervention winemaking and the use of indigenous or natural yeast. Winemaker Alex Davis believes in the “traditional old world” style of making wine.

“The most important part of our process starts with farming, so we could not be more proud to announce Porter Creek Vineyards and EthicDrinks as our partners,” shares Cameron. “Their commitment to sustainability is remarkable and we are thrilled to support their mission, just as they support ours.”

“Our goal this fall with Pinot Noir and Red is to bring our community together over wines made for any occasion, whether that’s winding down with friends after a long day or enjoying it alongside a seasonal dinner spread,” says Katherine.

The pinot noir is a light-bodied wine offering notes of roasted strawberries and wild plum. The brand recommends pairing it with a bowl of pesto pasta.

Avaline launched their first Red wine in 2020, which is now made in partnership with EthicDrinks in Bordeaux, France. Most recently, the brand released a Sparkling Rosé. Last December, they added their first Sparkling wine to the range. The range also includes a White and a Rosé, with more offerings expected to be added in the near future.

In July, Avaline celebrated its one-year anniversary with the closure of its $9.5M Series A round of VC funding. In it’s seed round, the company had support from established VC partners Greycroft and Sonoma Brands in addition to celebrity investors Nicole Richie and Gwenyth Paltrow.

Avaline Pinot Noir is available exclusively via Avaline’s website for $26 per bottle.
