Casamigos Cristalino Reposado Becomes First New Tequila From Clooney In Five Years

Casamigos Cristalino Reposado

George Clooney and Randy Gerber’s Casamigos have unveiled its first new tequila in over five years, Casamigos Cristalino Reposado. The new expression was announced last week

Casamigos Cristalino Reposado brings the brand into the rising world of Cristalinos, which filter aged tequilas through activated charcoal, removing its color and enhancing its fruity and floral characteristics. Made from 100% Blue Weber agave from the red clay soil of the Highlands of Jalisco, Mexico, the reposado is twice distilled and aged in American white oak barrels, then carefully charcoal filtered to restore the crisp, bright agave flavor found in the brand’s blanco tequila while maintaining some of the cask notes.

On the bose, the tequila offers aromas of cocoa and caramel with hints of agave. The palate is crisp and clean with notes of oaky vanilla bean, dried raisin, and fig, with a silky-smooth finish.

The brand recommends enjoying the tequila neat, on the rocks, or in a play on a martini, as scene below:

At the moment, Americans are set to spend more money on Tequila and mezcal than they will on American whiskey in 2022, according to new data from the IWSR. The British data and analytics firm estimates $13.3 billion in combined agave spirit sales versus $12.3 billion for whiskey.
