Catoctin Creek Distilling Company is launching a Peach Barrel Select Rye Whisky. The forthcoming offering from the Virginia-based distillery is set to be released on November 16.
Catoctin Creek Peach Barrel Select Rye Whisky is a 100% Virginia rye whisky that has been aged in charred new oak barrels and then finished for over one year in peach brandy barrels from its Short Hill Mountain Peach Brandy.
“This is the first time we’ve released our peach brandy finished rye whisky to the public, and we’re excited to hear what people think,” said Catoctin Creek co-owner and chief distiller, Becky Harris. “I tasted this at various proofs and really liked how the peach came through at 40% ABV. It’s still very rich, with a nice hint of summer to warm up those cooler nights to come.”
Limited to just 540 bottles, Catoctin Creek Peach Barrel Select Rye Whisky is on sale for $45.90 per 700ml bottle and can be purchased via the distillery’s online store beginning November 16 for curbside pickup or direct shipping in the state of Virginia. It will also be available via iquor stores throughout Catoctin Creek’s distribution footprint.
In total, the distillery has 26 markets in the United States (Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wyoming), and internationally in Finland, Germany, Mexico, Netherlands, Italy, Singapore, and the United Kingdom.
Last month, Catoctin Creek announced its new partnership with N10 Bourbon Limited, a national American whiskey distribution company based in the U.K. The full lineup of the craft distillery’s most popular expressions, Roundstone Rye 80 Proof, Roundstone Rye 92 Proof Distiller’s Edition, and Roundstone Rye Cask Proof, are now available throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
