National Margarita Day falls on Tuesday 22nd February, and to celebrate Cointreau is partnering up with a variety of bars, restaurants, and salons across London to bring the spirit of the world’s favourite cocktail to life.
The Margarita cocktail was first created in 1948 Acapulco by the American socialite Margaret Sames. People around the world celebrate the iconic mix of tequila, Cointreau, and lime juice each year on this special day with a plethora of new and exciting ingredients.
To celebrate National Margarita Day, some of the World’s Best Bars – Artesian, Three Sheets, Hacha, and Adam Handling’s Eve Bar (to name a few) – are showcasing one-off Margarita creations. From Thursday 17th to Wednesday 23rd February, visitors can pop into selected bars across the capital to try a special Cointreau Margarita, which can be found via Urban Junkies’ dedicated Margarita Map.
The ten participating bars include:
- Abajo
- Adam Handling’s Eve bar
- Artesian at The Langham Hotel
- Christina’s at The Mondrian Hotel
- El Pastor
- Hacha
- Side Hustle at The NoMad Hotel
- Tacos Padre
- The Berkeley
- Three Sheets
