Danny McBride Brings Don Gato Tequila To The US

Danny McBride Don Gato Tequila

Iconic luchador Don Gato is bringing his eponymous tequila to the United States with the help of actor Danny McBride

Actor, director, writer Danny McBride is helping to bring Tequila Don Gato to the United States. Created by the famed luchador of the same name, the additive-free tequila arrives Stateside in celebration of his legend.

McBride spent “a significant amount of time in Mexico following Don Gato,” says a press release, where the Eastbound & Down star learned quite a bit about this legend, which led Don Gato to authorize the multi-hyphenate to share the experiences he filmed out in Mexico.

The resulting “tequila sagas” of McBride’s shine a spotlight on Don Gato and the tequila. Through this series of tales, the actor is sharing the story of this legend with fans across the country. Video content was overseen by director David Gordon Green and features McBride, his friend Steve, and Don Gato.

“While I was filming Don Gato and having cool times, I was introduced to the best additive-free tequila I’ve ever had,” said McBride. “To pay homage to Don Gato…and to help pay for the tab I ran up while drinking his tequila that I assumed was free…I am sharing the news of his tequila with my friends in the states. It’s for people who have big dreams. And for those who have an amazing affinity for cats. And people who dig examples of nominative determinism. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. ”

Tequila Don Gato is currently available in two expressions:
