Mayfair’s Isabel has once more undergone a seasonal overhaul, saying goodbye to its Autumn/Winter menu and welcoming their Summer Cocktail Menu. The London bar’s new menu is set to debut on 17th July.
Created by Bar Manager Marek Ławrynowicz, the cocktail menu combines the invigorating essence of summer-infused flavours, many sourced from British suppliers, with tropical flourishes that transport the palate.
The Isabel Summer Cocktail Menu is divided into sections, taking guests on a journey from ‘Aperitif Cocktails’ where they will find Jam Session with Gooseberry cordial, and the ideal serves to enjoy ‘All Day’ to the bolder ‘Digestive’ and ‘Dessert Cocktails’.
Whether looking to start the night with something light and fruity with Violet Hill (Tanqueray London Dry Gin, Kwai Feh Lychee Liqueur, Acai Liqueur, Vermouth, Lemongrass Syrup) or close the evening with a creamy concoction of Alexander Rosso (Brugal Anejo. Amaro Santoni, Evaporated Milk, Strawberry & Rhubarb Cordial, Agave Syrup), the innovative flavours provide something for every mood and occasion. Marek and his team display their talents throughout the menu with playful takes on classics such as the Garden Martini with Reposado Tequila, Vermouth, Yellow Tomato & Samphire Brine and Chervil Tincture; and the Banana Fashion where Bourbon is infused with Banana Skin before being stirred with Banana Liqueur and Angostura Bitters.
Setting itself apart amidst the bustling London bar scene, the cocktails showcase an array of meticulously selected spirits and liqueurs, often limited in production or of rare nature. The use of these serves epitomises summer with the likes of a zesty, fresh liqueur derived from the kumquat tree common on the Greek Ionian islands (used in the Velvet Punch cocktail), or the Muyu Chinotto Nero liqueur (used in the Mexican Sunrise) which in its creation has been inspired by the scents and flavours of the Amazon Rainforest.
Elsewhere, the Sunday Brunch menu welcomes new dishes of Scrambled eggs with foie gras, white asparagus & pea shoots, Lobster brioche with hollandaise and Waffles with Fried Chicken, Cajun sauce, pickled onion & coriander, offering an indulgent end to any week.
Isabel’s Summer Cocktail Menu is available beginning 17th July, while the Sunday Brunch starts at 12pm.
