Kings of Leon Unveils Their Own Whiskey Range, Kiamichi

Kings of Leon Whiskey Kiamichi

Kings of Leon has launched their own whiskey range, Kiamichi. The collection includes a five-year-old rye, an eight-year-old rye, and a 19-year-old bourbon

The whiskey gets its name from the Kiamichi river in southeastern Oklahoma, where the Followills spent childhoods gathering for extended family reunions. The band worked with Willett Distillery on the release. The whiskey producers is known for brands like Old Bardstown, Rowan’s Creek, and Noah’s Mill.

Kings of Leon released the whiskey range at this year’s Bourbon and Beyond Festival in Louisville, which the band headlined. The festival included a weekend filled with activities and educational events, hosted by the top figures in the industry. The hosts of The Bourbon Experience on The Team Kentucky Bourbon Stage included bourbon expert Chris Blandford and lifestyle guru, Emmy winner, and Kentucky native Trish Suhr. They were also joined by special guests including well-known bourbon authority Fred Minnick, Blackened American Whiskey distiller Rob Dietrich, Peggy Noe Stevens of Bourbon Women, and Wes Henderson, co-founder of Angel’s Envy, among others.

While the Kiamichi five year old and eight year old whiskies are meant as entrance points to the collection, the 19-year-old bourbon carries a special meaning for both sides of the collaboration. Drew Kulsveen joined the Willett distillery 19 years ago, while Kings of Leon dropped their debut album, Youth and Young Manhood

Availability and pricing for the Kings of Leon Kiamichi whiskey line is still unknown at the moment, but to find out more about the new release, check out the brand’s official website.
