Aged for up to two years in American ex-Bourbon and French Oak, Milagro Cristalino Añejo tequila offers notes of vanilla, fruit, and fresh agave
Tequila has certainly been stepping into its own. The last few years has seen the spirit category launch a variety of new styles, cristalino and pink (or rose) the most prominent, and last year, it became America’s most popular spirit. Now, Milagro is adding to its brand’s breadth as well with the launch of its first core range addition in over a decade: Milagro Cristalino Añejo.
Crafted with 100% blue agave from the Highlands of Jalisco, Milagro Cristalino Añejo is aged for 18-24 months in American ex-Bourbon and French Oak casks before being filtered through charcoal to create its crystal-clear liquid. The French oak casks impart elegant fruit flavors as well as layers of richness and depth, resulting in a balanced tequila with notes of caramel and vanilla sweetness that also retains the brand’s signature bright agave taste.
“Like all Milagro Tequila offerings, Cristalino Añejo draws inspiration from Milagro’s roots – the vibrant, artistic world of Mexico City, where respect for tradition fuels innovation,” says Michael Giardina, Vice President of Marketing for Milagro. “Throughout the entire distilling process, we’ve honored age-old tequila-making practices while embracing innovative techniques unique to the Cristalino sub-category to create a one-of-a-kind liquid profile.”
The brand recommends enjoying Milagro Cristalino Añejo in a variety of classic cocktail or even on the rocks.
“One of my favorite things about the new Cristalino Añejo is it tastes as delicious alone as it does in a high-quality cocktail,” says Luis Lopez, Milagro’s West Coast Ambassador. “This liquid has notes of citrus, stone fruit and burnt sugar, making it a mixologist’s dream when creating classic recipes like an Old Fashioned or modern twist like Milagro’s Crystal Clear Espresso Martini.”
Packaged in a crystalline bottle with a black ombre design that echoes Milagro’s Core Range, the Cristalino Añejo bottle is “crafted to be as extraordinary as the tequila inside,” says a press release.
Bottled at 40% ABV, the tequila is now available for purchase nationwide for a suggested retail price of $59.99. For more information, head over to the brand’s official website.
