Musso & Frank Grill

Musso & Frank

Since 1919, Musso & Frank has been serving food and drinks to the who’s who of Hollywood. It is classic Hollywood. It’s also modern Hollywood. Stars, locals, and tourists all come here to revel in history while sipping cocktails and chewing the fat of their famous prime rib. Sinatra, Marilyn, Clooney, and so many other icons have dined in its red booths that it’s simply a must-stop if you’re into that sort of thing. And we 100 percent are!

What’s the crowd like?
This is a place for everyone, so expect a little bit of everything. It’s also Hollywood Boulevard, so, again, expect a mixed crowd, but one that loves the classics. The staff have mostly been there for decades and are true professionals.

What am I drinking?
Speaking of the classics, martinis and manhattans are go-tos and you can never go wrong with a glass of wine, just don’t come here looking for something frilly.

Is there anything to eat?
Yes. Musso’s is known for the prime rib and serves up a number of other fantastic cuts. We’re suckers for the calf’s liver and know people who always get pasta. If you’re enough of a regular to order the eggs, we salute you.

When should I get here?
Come whenever you like, but to get a booth or a table you need to book well in advance (we’re talking weeks, not hours). If you plan to belly up to the bar, come early; but if you want to sit on the diner-counter side and watch the steak magic in action, they can usually fit you in (it’s first come, first served).

Why am I here?
You’re here because Marilyn Monroe ate here, Ernest Hemingway and Frank Sinatra downed drinks in its booths, and Brad Pitt and George Clooney still swing through.
