The Cambridge Public House in Paris is set to host nine bars from across the globe as part of its “The Cambridge Global Series”
Over the course of three days in September, The Cambridge Public House will host nine bars from across the globe in what they’re calling “The Cambridge Global Series”. Located in Paris’ fashionable Marais district, the cocktail bar’s guests will include Kristine Guterrez (Mister Paradise, USA), Simon Chollet (Symbiose, France), Andrew Ho (Hope & Sesame, China), Damien Guichard (Wax On, Germany), Takuma Watanabe (Martiny’s, representing Japan), Mia Kumari (Satan’s Whiskers, UK), Sasha Wijidessa (Fura, Singapore), Konstantinos Theodorakopoulos (Bar In Front Of The Bar, Greece) and Christina Viera (Bar Mordecai, Canada). The takeover series will run from Sunday, September 8th through Tuesday, September 10th from 5pm – 8:30pm.
This year’s The Cambridge Global Series will be known as the Olympic Edition and follows last year’s Rugby Global Series, where they hosted nine bars in celebration of the Rugby World Cup in Paris last October. The bar will host three guest shifts on each night, kicking off with Mister Paradise, Symbiose and Hope & Sesame on, September 8th, followed by Wax On, Martiny’s and Satan’s Whiskers on September 9th; and Fura, The Bar In Front Of The Bar and Bar Mordecai on September 10th.
Each guest bar will serve a selection of exclusive cocktails for an hour and a half on their dedicated evening. The serves, which have been created in collaboration with The Cambridge team, will showcase the skills and talents of each of the guest bartenders and their respective bars, whilst reflecting and paying homage to their home country via various flavors and ingredients.
Alongside the guest shifts, The Cambridge will be hosting a series of seminars from 12pm – 4pm on Tuesday, September 10th at the 1K Hotel in Paris. Each seminar and round table will provide the guest bars to offer an open discussion on selected topics relating to the industry, their bar, and culture in either a round table or Q&A format.
“We’re super excited to host the Summer Olympics in Paris, it provides us with the opportunity to invite nine incredible bars from the amazing nations at this year’s prestigious games in our home city,” says Hyacinthe Lescoët, co-Owner of The Cambridge. “Our Cambridge Community Plan continues to be a big part of what we have been working on throughout 2024 and we can’t wait to continue to work with the bartending communities around the world and welcome them to our home city for a second time.”
