London’s Scarfes Bar has launched its latest cocktail menu, From Scratch, which features contemporary plays on classic drinks.

Scarfes Bar at Rosewood London has unveiled its latest cocktail menu, From Scratch. The new drinks list explores the DNA of classics enhanced with the bar’s famed flare. The menu features 22 original pours and draws inspiration from the history and traditions of cocktails, adding thoughtful flavours, innovative technique, and a bit of fun.

Last year marked the tenth anniversary of the London bar, which was named No. 41 on the list of the World’s 50 Best Bars 2023. With this new cocktail menu, European Director of Bars Martin Siska and the team at Scarfes Bar are taking things ‘back to basics’ by elevating classics while revisiting tropical and savoury favorites, and bringing back the theatre of cocktail shaking. The new menu also incorporates the mixology team’s own cordials, ferments and distillates which are created in their laboratory.

Cocktails on the From Scratch menu:

The menu features Scarfes Bar’s twist on the Garibaldi, the Tropicaldi, which is a mix of Campari, fluffy orange, blended pineapple and strawberries garnished with strawberry leather created in-house. Another fruity twist on this menu is Figgy Star, with Renais gin, banana and fig, Mio Saké and Co2, garnished with a cardamom leaf.

Agave fans will enjoy the Rosa Paloma, a blend of Komos Rosa, fig leaf, Palo Cortado and Pink Grapefruit Soda. The Lost Marguerite brings a spicy kick, with Lost Explorer Espadin, Grand Marnier LA, hot mango and kaffir lime.

Whisky cocktail lovers will enjoy the Knock on Wood, which is created with Macallan 12, cedarwood, acorn and Martini Ambrato. The No.7 is a blend of The Lakes Whisky Makers Reserve No.7, Palo Santo, Oloroso Sherry and fortified mint. The Pear Highball features Glen Grant 12, clarified pear, muscat wine, and Co2. The Call Me Nutty is a rich blend of Michter’s Rye, Roasted Hazelnuts, tonka, cedro and PX.  

The bar’s tenth anniversary celebrations saw the team visit ten of the world’s top bars. This year, Siska and the team will also bring bars from across the world back to London.
