To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Notre Dame Football’s First National Championship, Teeling Irish Whiskey has launched The Phoenix Legends
Teeling Irish Whisky is celebrating the 100th anniversary of Notre Dame Football’s first consensus National Championship with the launch of The Phoenix Legends. The 24-year-old, limited edition single malt whisky honors the 1924 team, known as the Four Horsemen.
Teeling Phoenix Legends is the first of three unique Notre Dame bottlings from the Dublin-based brand and is finished in Rivesaltes casks. On the nose, it offers aromas of toffee, tropical fruit, papaya, and candied citrus. The palate delivers butterscotch, walnuts, and honeyed sweetness. The finish features long, warming notes with hints of strawberry, caramel, and spices.
Timed with the launch of this bottling, this partnership is excited to announce the second drop of their ‘Irish Spirit’ jackets, designed by streetwear designer Kevin Leonel. The drop features designs that reflect the aesthetic of the bottle design and include a commemorative banner celebrating the historic season.
Bottled at 46% ABV, just 1,000 bottles of Teeling Phoenix Legends Irish whiskey will be released and are priced at $500 each. For more information, head over to the brand’s official website.
In May, Teeling unveiled the most-limited bottle in its long lime of unique releases, the Teeling 40-Year-Old Single Malt. It is one of the oldest and rarest Irish Single Malts ever released. Distilled back in 1983, the whiskey matured exclusively in ex-Bourbon barrels.
