The Macallan has launched its Gratitude is the Gift charitable campaign to help independent restaurants survive the ongoing crisis. The effort from the Speyside distillery was created to make gifting easy this year and give people everywhere a feel-good way to embrace the joy of the season.
Beginning today and going through the end of December, for every purchase of The Macallan’s single malt whiskies on The Macallan Gift Guide, the equivalent of 30% of proceeds will be donated to the James Beard Foundation’s Open for Good campaign, an initiative built to help independent restaurants survive this crisis, rebuild better, and thrive for the long term.
The digital gift guide, which is accessible via The Macallan official website, is designed to help consumers find the ideal expression to delight loved ones near and far. When sending a bottle of The Macallan for the holidays, consumers can express their gratitude and thanks for all the goodness we still have in our lives, through a complimentary, customizable postcard that will come to life via MyPostcard.com. Each postcard represents a different aspect of The Macallan and its 485-acre estate in Speyside, Scotland—from the Highland cows to the River Spey to the Distillery—that make The Macallan what it is today.
Head over to The Macallan Gift Guide to find the perfect expression for any holiday occasion and share your gratitude in support of the James Beard Foundation Open for Good campaign.
It has been a busy few months for The Macallan. Earlier in November, the distillery unveiled its Distil Your World: The London Edition Whisky, which looks to deliver “a sensorial journey through one of the world’s greatest capital cities.”
In October, The Macallan debuted the newest addition to its iconic Fine & Rare Collection, The 1993 Edition. The new expression joins a collection that started 20 years ago and features Whiskies from eight decades, 1926 to 1993.
In September, the distillery launched Edition No.6. The new limited edition single malt Scotch Whisky honors the water that gives life to the distillery and surrounding land, as well as marks the end of a chapter, as it will be the final addition to The Macallan’s celebrated Edition Series.
