The Savoy in London has teamed up with Bowmore single malt scotch whisky to add to the hotel’s evolving history with the opening of it’s first ever pop up terrace, called Solas.
The Solas terrace and has a menu comprising a range of Bowmore-based cocktails and expressions. Amongst the items listed amongst the selections, keen-eyed visitors will notice the recent 27-year-old which launched earlier this year. The dining menu will focus on raw seafood.
Alongside the seafood bar the menu also includes three oyster selections served in a Bowmore oyster luge, and paired with a choice of whisky, lobster rolls, gravadlax and blue shrimp ceviche.
On 21 April, the Savoy will open its doors to permitted travellers and will launch Solas to mark the welcome return of outdoor hospitality. Overnight guests will be welcome from 17 May, the date when indoor venues can reopen, and the hotel’s restaurants and bars will begin welcoming back guests.
Solas is open seven days a week until 21 June 2021 and reservations are required. To make a reservation, head over to Open Table.

In February, Bowmore added 31 Year Old and 27 Year Old Whiskies to its Bowmore Timeless Series. The new offering from the Islay distillery will be a Global Travel Retail exclusive.
The Bowmore Timeless 31 Year Old and 27 Year Old join an older age range of Whiskies in the series which celebrates the legacy of the distillery. “For over 240 years, Bowmore has captured the essence of Islay from the shores of its remote island home – harnessing the power of centuries of skill and tradition in every single drop. Combining patience and dedication with an unwavering attention to detail, the Bowmore Timeless series is a celebration of this legacy – embodying the sophisticated balance of smoke, exotic fruit and sea salt for which Bowmore Islay single malt scotch whisky is celebrated,” said the distillery.
